Experience
Since high school I have edited many essays for friends and family. I have corrected grammatical, stylistic and logical errors in papers ranging from a high school level to a Master's thesis. I have been a volunteer study proctor for my sorority, answering questions and helping my sisters stay on task. I would like to help others in their academic pursuits - explaining history, English literature, writing queries and how best to study. I enjoy helping others "get it" even when they wrongly assumed they are not able to understand. I have taken a variety of history classes from early prehistory to the twentieth century. My focus is European history from the 1800s until WWII; as well as Irish history from the middle ages until the Easter Rising of 1916. I have also taken multiple English Literature classes, spanning from the Renaissance to modern fiction.

Hobbies
I'm a voracious reader and somewhat of a fixture at my local library. I enjoy reading works from the classical authors, as well as insightful contemporary writers. When I am not editing papers for others, I write fictional and non-fictional pieces. I take non-credit courses at the local community college, so to sharpen my academic skills. I'm also an amateur nature photographer - snapping shots of the local flora and fauna.
